About Remi
Twenty Years of Learning, Still Going
Remi's story begins in 2001 with intensive training at Rob Peetoom — one of Amsterdam's most respected salon names. But it was three years in Sydney (2007–2010), working in some of Australia's most demanding studios, that gave him the technical edge and confidence he brings to every appointment today.
"As a hairstylist, I feel like you're never finished with learning." That philosophy shows in his results. Remi stays current not because it's expected, but because the craft genuinely excites him. He specialises in short, creative cuts and colour for all genders — but his range goes far beyond that.
Project Remi is a freelance studio, which means every appointment is one-on-one. No assistants, no upsells, no rushing to the next chair. Just Remi, you, and the time it takes to get it right.

What is your cancellation policy?
Please give at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. A 50% fee applies for no-shows or insufficient notice. If you're running more than 15 minutes late without notice, the appointment may be charged or need to be rescheduled. Life happens — just let Remi know as early as possible.
Do you specialise in a specific hair type or style?
Remi specialises in short creative cuts and colour for all genders, but works confidently with all hair types and textures. His training in Sydney gave him a particularly sharp eye for unconventional cuts and bold colour choices — but he's equally at home with a classic blow out or natural highlights.
How do I make an appointment?

Do I need a consultation before a colour appointment?
For creative colour, bleach work, or a significant change of direction — a consultation is always recommended. For a regrowth tint or toner, you can book directly. If you're unsure, reach out and Remi will advise on the right approach before you come in.
How long does a colour appointment take?
A root touch-up or toner typically takes 1.5–2 hours. Full highlights or creative colour can take 3–4 hours depending on complexity and hair length. Remi never rushes appointments — the time to do it properly is already built into the process.
Is Project Remi suitable for all genders?
Absolutely. Remi cuts and colours hair for everyone, regardless of gender, and has done so throughout his career. Whether you're looking for a clean, architectural cut or a full colour transformation — you're in the right place.
Is styling included with colour?
Styling is not included with a colour appointment. If you'd like a blow dry or finish after your colour, just let Remi know when you book and he'll set aside the extra time.
